Picture this in your imagination, if you will: you're lounging on the deck of your 32 foot cruising yacht and it's a beautiful day – the sky is cobalt blue and the sun is sparkling. The surface of the water is topped with ripples of currents, and you can hear the gentle clap up against the sides of the boat. All of a sudden, the wind picks up and the waters become rocky, beginning to whitecap, but just enough to respect the power of nature. Suddenly, the sea changes again, the waters calm, and you are lulled by the gentle movements of the rocking waves. That is the sensation one experiences when listening to Kabbalistic music. That is indeed the sensation one experiences when listening to the amazing ARI Kabbalah Band who performed their fourth live concert in Second Life!

By Guardian Market, SLR CFO Does anyone here remember the WSE? Remember LukeConnell Vandeverre, the self-assured CEO of that first multi-company stock exchange in Second Life? It’ll strain your virtual memory to do so, since the WSE has all but disappeared in recent months and the metaverse has a short attention span. On January 6, 2008, the World Stock Exchange posted this announcement stating that it was going to upgrade to a new edition of their webpage – WSE 4.0. The article reports, “…we expect the new website design, layout, functionality and services should be completed within 45 days.” That would have put launch date by February 20th. Instead, at the time of this writing the WSE has been closed for 175 days, and shows no signs of life. A splash screen which greets visitors says only that WSE 4.0 is coming, and that the “Launch Date [is] CO.MI.NG” Presumably the odd grammar is a cute way of saying that they’ll put those dates in the graphic soon. The screen has been up for at least a month, without change.

Fashion Store and Verballis Tie the Knot By SL Hak It was interesting to read an announcement on Capex that Verballis Translation Service (VBL) were hitching up with Milos Designs. The deal seems good for Verballis with Milos Designs offering free land and tier, so what is in it for Milos Designs? Firstdesigns Milos explains why he has linked up with Verballis. “Having completed a good amount of research on the companies within the Capex, and by also having the opportunity to speak more with a few CEO's I very much like the business plan and opportunities that are available for VBL. If the right amount of preparation is conducted with a high infusion of drive and commitment then VBL has a very good chance of becoming one of the few companies within the Capex to be successful.
