If you go and ask most people in Second Life whether it is a game or not, odds are that people will probably tell you it is a game.  Not here!  Second Life is not a game.  It is just another world, another country.  There's not objective in Second Life.  You just 'live' in there, socialize, and do business as you would in Real Life.  And the fact that there are capital gains should remove the notion that Second Life is a game.  Most people who argue with me that Second Life is a game keep bringing up the fact that the Linden Dollar is not recognized as a currency.  But does that really matter?  What is more important is that the Linden Dollar is accepted as a bartering tool - a means to an end.  And isn't that the what a currency is - a universally accepted means of conducting transactions?  Did anyone know that back then, Salt was used as a bartering tool and made Venice what it is today?  I bet no one back then argued that Venice was a game because Salt was not a currency.  So what makes Second Life so different?  Because it is virtual and has no tangible assets?  Sounds like a feeble argument to me.  Maybe that's why so many people sign up to Second Life and leave.  Because they were expecting something that Second Life was not - a game.  Second Life is exactly what it is, a second life.

I do not ever think that 'second life', as it is named is a 'second life'. There is no life in such a thing as this.
Jesus said 'The life is in the blood'.
Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life".
Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day, but I don't know if that was like him having a 'second life', or not?
The book of revelations mentions a 'second death'.
Maybe this game called 'second life' might be something like a 'second death'??
Don't get me wrong, but I am sort of offended that people would ever think that any man might ever find any kind of 'life' on a computer screen, playing with what are animated dolls.
Yes, it is like little girls playing with their dolls.
I am not mocking. simply observing.
I like to make money, and that is about all that I find intriguing about sl. But, I am haunted by the possibility that this is perversion of mens minds.
Second life, or second death???

How Is it so that some people make comments that bring about the wrong perpetuated concepts of how things really are , and there narrow mindedness closes to Its smallest aperture setting..

Sl Is more then just a game , yes , and Its more then just some people playing dolls , or dress-up , Its a social environment , with teaching and classes and games and discussions about rl issues , it breaks down the barriers of race and creed and ethnic , It takes away racism and hatred ( unless your a linden , lol ) and brings people together on equal footing , it gives people a chance to experiment In business ventures and promotion and sponsorship ...

It make people think and provides entertainment with live music and performances ...

And yes with all RL or SL life there Is a few that are perverse , but SL Is not like Rl In those facts i stated above , people actually realize sometimes that there friend they met and shared time with Is from another country that they once thought was evil or persuaded to doing hateful things , and there viewpoint changes , and they become more open and not so narrow minded ....

So all and all , yes Sl can be consumed with perversion and ignorance and folly and superficial , but , Its not as bad as RL In that contents , It really does break down barriers...

Smiles...( Dolls , lol )
