Cocky Dagger surprised some on ISE by proposing a spin off from ISE. This will be a new company involved in hosting video content for Second Life.

Cocky Dagger explains“Currently in Second Life, video isn't used that much and most people still use Youtube. The video users put a link on their land to Youtube videos. This is not the slickest or best solution, a better solution is to bring the video in-world. I have created technology that makes doing that much easier. The Lindens have recently been pushing video with blog posts in recent days. After seeing these blog posts I implemented this feature for the ISE website but now think it would be better for it to be separate.”

This technology allows upload of video for sharing in SL or the ability to transfer Youtube videos with one click converting the video to quicktime format for easy viewing in-world. I think this technology could be huge but is limited on this site because it is so far away from the core service offered by the ISE.”

Cocky Dagger announced that ISE shareholders would benefit from the spin off and that the new company would raise funds in IPO in order to purchase high end severs. Cocky who has developed the technology is running further tests and then likely to IPO on ISE, this would no doubt be a successful IPO, the only issue being that Cocky does not wish to be CEO, this unknown is troubling some potential investors. Beck Investment Banking (BBIB) has reported that it has retired 400k shares, leaving only 800k remaining. CEO Banking Beck also announced that he's continued to buy back stock up to L$1. Current assets at BBIB are reported as L$519k which includes stocks at ISE, VSTEX and WSE. It currently has loans owed to it for L$235k and L$22k in cash. Due to the large retirement, Georg Pennell now becomes the largest shareholder owing in excess of 50% of the company. A dividend of L$0.01 was also paid by BBIB in early May.

Jamaica Estates (JAM), has received its free Openspace sim which it has named Rasta. Whilst receiving a grace period with tier payments, the island is expected to make L$30k a month profit for the next 3 months. CEO Rodders Helgado has also announced the purchase of a 5th sim called Kingston Inlet. JAM has predicted paying a dividend of L$0.04 within the next fortnight. There has been a steady price increase at JAM due to Rodders Holgado personally purchasing 37k shares since the beginning of May.

Cybertek Enterprises (CBE) has received delivery of three new sims, it estimates that this will increase monthly profitability by L$31k. It has now in excess of 917,000 SqM in land and predicts reaching a million within a couple of months. This may actually be sooner as CBE has now announced that it has ordered another Openspace sim.
