Delicious Demar recently appealed on the Capex forums for the WSE CEO's to abandon ship, what she actually said was “wake up and get out of Dodge”, Delicious Demar is a well documented and a self confessed adversary of WSE CEO LukeConnell Vanderverre. Delicious also incited rebellion by commenting “...and if several companies want to make a move together, I will consider joining them in re-listing as well”
It is interesting to see that at least one CEO appears to have taken her up on the offer; Pablo Sienkiewicz announcing on the 25th of September that he was relocating Sienkiewicz Investment Management (SIM) to the International Stock Exchange (ISE). This is intriguing as Pablo and Delicious were previously very close business associates. I wonder if the move by SIM will be followed closely behind by the re-entry of DDE at ISE. In addition if Lindsay Druart successfully lists the L&L Corp. on ISE there may be serious competition emerging from a SL stock exchange minnow. VSTEX have announced that their ATM's are again being distributed, this may be a reaction from a posting made on the ACE forums in which BurnA Greenwood commented that the best advertising for any exchanges was the placement of ATM's through the grid. I couldn't agree more and as it appears neither could Samantha Goldflake. Philip Rosedale made a recent comment, which may have a profound effect for SL financial markets and SL business in general. Many of the earliest WSE listed companies made their profit from gambling, is this likely to return? Judging from Rosedale's comments, maybe; “...That is to say, as people are running servers in their own countries, you’re going to have different regulatory regimes, and therefore, treatment of different content or experiences”. This may not open the flood gates to the return of unregulated gambling, however would you bet on the emergence of RL licensed gambling operations who may see this as excellent marketing opportunity?
