SANTA MONICA, CA – Inside Second Life, Monogram Virtua Entertainment is proud to sponsor their first annual Second Life Erotica Expo. Hundreds of Erotica collectors from both the cyber and real worlds are set to arrive in Second Life May 31st to see both the erotic, sensual, sexual and exotic in cyberworld art and novelties. The Erotica Expo opens at 11AM Pacific Time at the convention center on Monogram Tria (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Monogram%20Tria/146/127/23) where Monogram Virtua’s co-founders Harold Whaley (SL name Hdub Shepherd), Randall Rubin (SL name Dubble Rokocoko), and Marketing Director Andrea McCloud (SL name Anakalia Catteneo) will be in attendance. The picturesque island of Ivy Falls is enlisting it's residents and guests to help unravel it's mystery and unearth hidden treasures during June, as it launches "The Legend of Ivy Falls".
A hidden treasure quest has been mapped out in some well-known, and well-hidden corners of the island which will see treasure hunters solving riddles, unlocking hidden passages, and cracking codes with their friends to solve the island's mysterious puzzle, and win a myriad of spot prizes throughout June.

The New Media Consortium (NMC) announced today the call for proposals for the 2008-09 NMC Virtual Learning Prize, a $100,000 competitive program of awards intended to create a collection of innovative open-source learning experiences that make use of the unique attributes of a virtual learning environment. Museum of Robots, Kubrick 98/161/26 http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kubrick/98/161/26 Call for Entries! - Museum of Robots Build-a-Robot Competition Museum of Robots in Second Life announces the 'Build-a-Robot' Competition, and invites all residents to participate. All entrants receive a merchandise prize, with an additional 30,000 L$ cash prize pool awarded to the top 10 winners. Our definition of 'robot' is unlimited: any design that you think can be called a robot is acceptable. Entry Classes are: Standalone, Wearable, and Homage to Classic Robots. There is a maximum limit of 100 prims per entry and entries may be scripted or unscripted. All residents are eligible to enter, including established designers and new robot builders. The emphasis is on original creations for the Standalone and Wearable classes. Homage to Classic Robots is for work that replicates existing robots or characters from film, television, or media.
