Luxembourg Seeks Bright New Talent at 'Working Worlds' Virtual Job Fair – on Second Life, 28 November, 2007

Luxembourg, a country with one of Europe's highest wage levels, is seeking skilled employees to join its workforce. To find candidates of the right calibre, GAX Technologies, a specialist software company targeting the financial sector, is presenting 'Working Worlds' ( http://www.working-worlds.com) - the country's first virtual job fair - on the 'Luxembourg Business' island of Second Life on Wednesday 28 November, 2007.

Thanks to 'Working Worlds' - which features virtual 3D stands from at least 20 different head hunters, agencies and private companies - skilled individuals who are interested in working in Luxembourg in 'real life' can make invaluable contacts, register a CV free of charge and participate in ad hoc interviews.

Cornelia den Hartog, managing director of GAX Technologies, says: "In the growing Luxembourg market, the demand for qualified staff is increasing constantly. To find new talent, Luxembourg companies are recruiting internationally. Working Worlds gives professionals the chance to kick-start the search for a new job in a country they might not otherwise reach, through the medium of Second Life."

She adds: "For a dynamic candidate, this is an easy way to give a strong, creative first impression and show their knowledge - without any associated travel time or costs. Successful candidates will enjoy Luxembourg's many benefits, which include high salary levels and favourable rates of taxation."

The advantages for recruiters are significant too. In collaboration with GAX Technologies, all companies participating in 'Working Worlds' will have their own customised 3D offices or rented space in which to hold interviews and presentations. Says Den Hartog: "Companies with stands at the fair will receive a great number of resumes from candidates from around the world, and can easily assess those who would normally be off Luxembourg's radar. Second Life provides a vast pool of professionals who could help both themselves and our economy by taking up a job here."

In particular, Luxembourg is seeking professionals in the accountancy and finance, sales and marketing, HR, IT and legal sectors. To participate in 'Working Worlds' and arrange interviews in advance, candidates can leave their CVs at www.working-worlds.com.
Says Den Hartog: "Luxembourg will always be advanced in its approach. The Working World recruitment fair is excellent proof of this fact."

Notes:
GAX Technologies, a specialist in software for the finance sector, was the first Luxembourg company to create a presence on Second Life. Its virtual office on the island, 'Luxembourg Business', was officially opened on 28 June, 2007, by Minister Jeannot Krecké. At present, GAX Technologies is the country's Second Life specialist, and hopes to share its knowledge with other businesses wanting to make the most of the growing virtual world.
