I am here interviewing Dimentox Travanti, creator of the battle hud known as DCS, or Dynamic Combat System. Dimentox is the epitome of the entrepreneur; he is a person who saw a need, filled it, and ran with it. With considerable hard work and an uncanny knack for understanding and anticipating a rolepayer’s, and a SIM owner’s, needs, DCS is truly an original, and exceptional, creation. In fact, DCS is now used in over 26 SIMS, and those numbers are climbing.

------PRESS RELEASE-------
IPO Launch at the International Stock Exchange Hits Record High!
The Land Investment Income Fund (LIF) has sold over 1.29 million shares in IPO through the International Stock Exchange on the first day. The LIF is one of the largest real estate dealers in SL, with one of the most significant IPO's in history.

"We at the International Stock Exchange are pleased to do business with reputable companies such as the LIF. This success demonstrates the confidence investors and traders have not only in LIF, but also this exchange. We have seen a dramatic increase in volume here at the ISE over the last few days amidst rumors of unprofessional activity by a CEO of another exchange. Our standards here at the ISE are a cut above, and serious investors and companies in SL are starting to see it," said ISE CEO Cocky Dagger.
The LIF is structured along the basic REIT model in which the majority of its net income is paid out to investors each week, thus giving many the opportunity to benefit from the millions that are made in real estate deals in SL every year.
For more information on the International Stock Exchange, visit us inside Second Life at Talyn (164, 43, 57) , or online at www.intlstockexchange.com .

n Sunday's Nation section you reprinted an article from the Washington Post about crimes in virtual reality ("Are crimes in virtual reality subject to real laws?").
The first crime cited was of a virtual rape occurring in an online world called Second Life. This crime, by the very nature of the Second Life, is impossible. No such event can occur without the active, consensual participation of all parties involved. The use of this as an example of online crime is nothing but an attempt to use our reaction to the accusation of rape to create headlines.

Last year there was some commotion in the Second Life community about a player that abused a glitch in the actionsystem to buy some land that wasn't even up for auction very cheap. Linden Labs, developer of Second Life, hereby closed the persons account on grounds of voilating their Terms of Service. As it turns out this player, Marc Bragg, is a lawyer and what do lawyers do? Right, they sue people for the craziest things.

Following on from the is second life a game post the other day, I had a totally different outlook to second life after reading some of the comments left by users of the virtual world (and no it does not seem to be a game).
I have since seen that people trade everyday and earn money from second life as well as doing many things they cannot in this life, but I was left with the question “Do laws still count in second life?"
