Hundreds of movie goers and machinima enthusiasts from both the cyber and real worlds are set to arrive in Second Life August 9, 2008 to see the original and the creative in Virtual World filmmaking at Monogram Virtua’s Short Film Festival.  The Festival opens at 11 AM Pacific Time on August 9th at the Convention Center on Monogram Tria (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Monogram%20Tria/202/136/22) where Monogram Virtua’s co-founders Harold Whaley (SL name Hdub Shepherd), Randall K. Rubin (Sl name Dubble Rokocoko), and special guests Jimmy Diggs, Dan Keston, Brian Ross, Jon Schroder, John Brister, and Internet personality Dude As In Cool will be in attendance.  A limited number of press passes will be available.

Carmen Gray lost two sons to random drive by shootings in LA California. To help other families, Carmen conducted Peace Marches attracting 1000s in RL, then she founded affective training programs that helped over 100,000 kids and adults. As Carmen Gray in SL, she continues these great traditions, through charity events, online information, and  raising awareness, including the new SL Festival: Keeping Kids Safe.
