For SLReports.net Sunday Frontpage
David Pollard may be a repeat offender as a Second Life Cheater, but perhaps he would have stayed nearer to the hearth had his Real Life wife been more interested in Real Life, as opposed to spending as much as 20 hours a day playing the Fantasy MMPOG World of Warcraft.

Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Learning Center (112,25,32) August 25, 6PM, SL Time The development of the Internet has given us the ability to connect in a virtual reality above the boundaries of space and time. Now, if you're anything like me...access to the Internet is as important as having electricity and running water. Without it, there's a disconnection that is no longer acceptable, and the ISP just can't get the connection back up and running fast enough!

A point blank question: What is your purpose in participating in Second Life? Are you here for business? For furthering your knowledge of a virtual connection? Or, perhaps you're here to simply have fun, and expand your social life?

As part of an ongoing series of free concerts and lectures conducted by the Bnei Baruch Kabbalah Learning Center, approximately thirty Second Lifers attended the event entitled, "Why Kabbalah?" A marvelous mixture of Kabbalistic melodies and a direct, yet intriguing, explanation of spirituality and Kabbalistic concepts was examined. To kick-off the evening, the BB Kabbalah Band played some of the most moving jazz renditions of Kabbalistic music performed to date. Evoking notions of nature: winds whispering through willows by the lake, the movement of eagles' wings against the backdrop of a blue sky, the call and reply of birds perched amidst majestic trees...

www.mappanovus.com By SL Hak There has been some controversy over my selection for the Second Life “Best Blog” - the recommendation has been criticized but no alternative suggestions made. If you disagree with the selections please indicate what you consider the best, these will be considered for future releases and will allow SL Reports readers to judge for themselves. There are a number of websites addressing land sales in Second Life, one stands out as head and shoulders above all others. Mappa Novus is a website dedicated to making purchasing land a more pleasurable experience. It currently adds functionality to that currently offered by the Second Life land sales and search. It isn't perfect and having to pay for a subscription isn't ideal for the occasional trader. Don't let this deter you as there is also a free land search tool, which offers sufficient search criteria to appreciate the potential of Mappa Novus. Use the Region, seller and keyword search functions and the even the free search tool becomes an impressive ally.

http://secondthoughts.typepad.com/second_thoughts/ By SL Hak This has been an easy choice, Second Thoughts is head and shoulders above the competition, why? just take a look at read. Prokofy Neva is a prolific blogger specializing in issues pertaining to SL estates, however he has varied interest with enviable research incorporated into many of the blogs. Prokofy has recently examined the businesses behind three of the largest estates within SL namely Dreamland, Azure Island, and Otherland. http://secondthoughts.typepad.com/second_thoughts/2008/04/are-the-big-thr.html His blogs also feature topical issues reporting on events such as “Keeping Tibet Free”, including references to Shaun Altman one of SL financial markets pioneers http://secondthoughts.typepad.com/second_thoughts/2008/03/this-isnt-a-pos.html and much much more. Prokofy Neva does comment on the exchanges but usually when there is significant public interest, I suggest keeping an eye on this blog, add it to your Google Reader as there are often interesting and thought provoking articles.
